Bluewater Thumb YFC Awareness

One teen in Michigan is doing her part to serve her local Youth For Christ chapter. 13-year-old Jazlyn recently undertook a 500-mile snowmobile trek across northern Minnesota to raise awareness and funds for Bluewater Thumb YFC (BTYFC). Riding a 2006 Ski Doo, Jazlyn’s five-day trip took her through extreme weather and situations — all to give other youth the opportunity to hear about Christ through BTYFC.

BTYFC Executive Director Todd Cramer said, “It’s exciting to see the impact YFC has made on one of our Campus Life kids and student leaders Jazzy — not only in her own life, but the lives of her peers and friends. Her family has a long history with our ministry. Jazzy’s dad Mike has been a board member for years, and her brother Tyler is a key volunteer. All her siblings have participated in YFC ministry as students and her family are great advocates for our chapter in the community.”

Building Relationships

Cramer continued, “Christ-centered relationships are what YFC is all about. The relationships like the ones that Jazzy has created at YFC all make for tremendous impact for the kingdom. Jazzy had a goal to raise $2,000 for the ministry and raised $5,000 because of all these relationships and connections. God is certainly working in our little part of Michigan and because of students like Jazzy, we are well positioned to meet the needs of students and help give life to their stories!”

Jazlyn said, “I love Youth For Christ because they sponsor lots of cool trips and events that help a lot of kids learn about God. I’ve been to countless events with YFC, and it has made my relationship with the Lord so much stronger. I’m really hoping other kids will be able to have experiences like mine. It’s truly a great feeling to support and be part of a youth organization that has such a positive impact on so many kids like me.”
