YFC Celebrates in Los Angeles

As the Super Bowl approaches, all eyes turn towards Los Angeles on February 13. With that said, YFC is celebrating the work being done to invest in young people and youth workers in Los Angeles.

Youth For Christ Southern California will partner with like-minded organizations to host Turn Your Campus.  These organizations include Urban Youth Workers Institute, Biola University, and many others. Turn Your Campus is a one-day, transformational training event. With that said, this event is for students and youth workers in the Los Angeles Metro Area. This event will take place virtually on February 26. Attendees will be inspired and equipped to impact their community for Christ.

Turn Your Campus Connects with Youth

YFC Southern California’s focus beautifully aligns with the Turn Your Campus project. This is with the intention of mobilizing Christian students and adults to reach young people on their school campuses.

With that in mind, YFC Southern California Executive Director Al Siebert said, “Even during this time of COVID-19, we are blessed to be carriers of the gospel of Jesus. Not all high school and middle school kids know that God loves them and cares for them.”

For the past 25 years, Turn Your Campus has trained nearly 26,000 young leaders in SoCal. With that said, students will learn how to share Jesus with their friends.  In addition, youth workers will be coached in mentoring their students and leading stronger lives for Jesus Christ. Along with that, educators will receive invaluable help in navigating the public school environment in a sensitive and Christ-honoring way.

In 2018, Abe a young person in LA area met one of our SoCal YFC partners and as of last year, he gave his life to Christ. We’re proud to say he’s a local leader in his community. It’s amazing to see the many ways God is working through Abe’s life to bring other young people like him closer to Jesus!
