A recent story from a YFC Mentor:
“He’s the youngest guy I’ve ever mentored—just 12 years old.
We’d been meeting for a few months. I’d given him a Bible. We’d had a handful of good conversations. Then one night in April, I took him to his very first Rockies game. The Rockies aren’t great, but for him—it was a big deal.
On the drive home, somewhere along I-70, he turned to me and said,
“How do I talk to God?”
That one question opened the door.
Right there in the car, I shared with him what it means to know God personally through Jesus. I told him that talking to God is part of a relationship—and that relationship starts by putting your trust in Christ.
He paused for a moment. Then he looked at me and said:
“I believe that. That’s what I want.”
So right there, in the car, I kept my eyes on the road—and we prayed.
This 12-year-old young man said yes to Jesus.
No stage. No fancy setup. Just a ride home, a sincere question, and a heart ready for Christ.
There’s something happening in this next generation.
Gen Alpha is open, curious, and hungry for real hope, in a world full of hopelessness.
And Jesus is meeting them right where they are.”
