Key Result Area #1 – Engage Prayer

Standards of Performance:

Standards of Performance (You’ll know you’ve done a good job when…):

  • You coach a Rebalance team according to the standards and methods prescribed by N. Colorado YFC and your Rebalance MSC. This includes regular planning and assessment meetings with the Rebalance team (6 hrs./wk. when Rebalance is in session). Rebalance work will take priority.

  • Developed and implemented a weekly regimen of additional RMA’s with Rebalance kids and/or other YFC-affiliated youth (1-4 hours depending on the week). Examples: Contacting, Building Times, Appointments, etc.
  • Sought to make a general assessment of teens’ deeper needs in 5 basic areas of life literacy–Economic, Basic Health and Safety, Civic Lit., Education, Spiritual/Moral Literacy.
  • Champion the ongoing development of systems, equipment, infrastructure, standards, and training for Outdoor Adventure events and activities through which YFC leaders can effectively engage with lost (and saved) teenagers. Note: sometimes these activities will be focused on creating an initial contact with teens where no ACSR has been established, and sometimes these events will assist existing programs take relationships deeper through shared adventure experiences.

Key Result Area #3 – Coaching Biblical Application

Supporting Objective: Within our 3Story relationships you demonstrate the importance of Biblical truth by accurately handling and presenting that truth and by continually coaching kids to apply that same truth in all aspects of their daily living.

Standards of Performance:

  • Use the Bible in some creative way each time you lead a YFC-related activity, including appointments (Make an attempt!), but more obviously, on programmed activities like a MTB outing. Note: even in Rebalance we are teaching biblical truth in the form of a curriculum based on the fruit of the Spirit, but the exception here is that we are asked not to reference our source (unless asked by a teen).
  • Present the Gospel (the story of God’s desire to be in a relationship with each person through the saving work of Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection) to teens wherever possible–from appointments to camp, and in planned environments or in spontaneous conversational opportunities.

Supporting Objective: You intentionally seek out relationships and partnerships with local churches, agencies and other partners so that YFC can synergistically provide sustainable youth and family ministry within our community.

Standards of Performance:

  • Regular contacts with local youth ministers and agencies are a part of your strategy and schedule.
  • You creatively strategize with other community leaders to the end that the community synergistically meets the needs of our kids and families and brings a greater result together than we could each achieve alone.
  • You seek partnership with organizations and businesses who can help us achieve our mission (i.e. bike shops, climbing staff at the YMCA, etc.)
