Position Summary

Here are some aspects of the program that NextGen Leadership interns can expect:

·      Working with 11-19 year old youth in public schools, underserved neighborhoods, and juvenile detention facilities

·      Mentoring and discipling of youth participants

·      Planning and working large scale events like fundraisers and camps

·      Opportunities to grow in public speaking, leading groups, co-facilitating trainings, etc.

·      Real-time feedback from YFC’s Directors and/or Site Coordinators

·      Building relational capital among community members, other non-profit/church leaders, governmental agencies, business leaders, and more

·      Connecting with other YFC leaders & youth workers from around the United States

·      Opportunities to learn basics of non-profit business and governance

Position Requirements

This one-year commitment is designed to provide intensive coaching, training, and equipping in general ministry, non-profit operations, and youth related work.

YFC has partnered with Bethel University (visit to assist its leaders in advancing their academic goals through obtaining an online based associate or bachelor’s degree. Bethel University offers various scholarship opportunities to improve affordability. YFC also offers scholarship opportunities specifically to its staff & leaders.
