Position Summary

The Ministry Site Leader is a position that requires spiritual and organizational leadership skills, the ability to work with and through other people, and strong communication skills. S/he must embrace and build a team that embodies YFC’s Cultural Attributes: Christ-centered, enduring humility, relentless trust, courageous faithfulness, joyful camaraderie, and kingdom inspired diversity. S/he will seek to implement relational ministry actions to develop Authentic Christ-Sharing Relationships with young people within the context of their YFC ministry model.

Position Responsibilities 

  • lead, plan and schedule weekly Campus Life meetings
  • engage students regularly through relational ministry actions in addition to club
  • make weekly contact with Campus Life leaders
  • meet regularly with ministry team for training, planning, and soul care
  • be available for regular communication with Ministry Director (MD)
  • report ministry stats and updates to supervisor
  • be a good steward of budget for direct ministry and leader development
  • be responsible for any YFC equipment used for CL

Spiritual Responsibilities

Because the overriding religious purpose and mission of Youth for Christ is to communicate the Gospel of Jesus Christ to young people and their families and, in that regard to make, educate and encourage lifelong disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, it is very important for an employee of YFC, abide by our statement of faith and Standards of Conduct. In addition, the following responsibilities of a spiritual nature will apply to your position within our organization: 

  • Seek God's guidance and wisdom, through prayer, for the organization as a whole. 
  • Participate in and occasionally lead times of prayer and devotion with other YFC staff and/or volunteers

Commitment 

The Site Leader commits to the full school year at the ministry site. After the ministry year, will meet with the Ministry Director and Executive Director to assess remaining in current position for the upcoming year.
