Position Summary

The Ministry Site Director is a position that requires spiritual and organizational leadership skills, the ability to work with and through other people, and strong communication skills. S/he must embrace and build a team that embodies YFC’s Cultural Attributes: Christ-centered, enduring humility, relentless trust, courageous faithfulness, joyful camaraderie, and kingdom inspired diversity. S/he will seek to implement relational ministry actions to develop Authentic Christ-Sharing Relationships with young people within the context of their YFC ministry model.

Position Requirements

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, train and empower a volunteer and student leadership team 
  • Coordinate a comprehensive ministry that incorporates the 5 Essentials and the 6 Relational Ministry Actions of Youth for Christ and engage volunteers in those ministry activities by:
  • Creating a prayer team specifically for site and communicating with them regularly
  • Managing time to include Contacting, Building Times, Small Groups, Appointments, Student Leadership and Club
  • Help to organize, promote and lead trips for students
  • Making community connections with like-minded partners (including churches, youth serving organizations, and local businesses)
  • Participate in faithful activities that invite financial support and participate in organization-wide fundraising events
  • Implement donor care activities as recommended by the Executive Director, including writing support/prayer letters and newsletters
  • Complete all required paperwork and data tracking in a timely manner (maintain Google calendar with all work activities/hours, expense reports, YFC Impact data entry, etc.)
  • Attend staff meetings and one-on-one meetings with Campus Life Ministry Director
  • Attend local/regional/national training events
  • Complete YFC Credentialing within 2 years
  • Provide spiritual guidance through prayer and bible study with students and leaders

  • Ability to manage a flexible work schedule

Credentials Required & Preferred Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Three years of ministry experience

Fundraising Responsibilities

All YFC employees are expected to regularly and actively participate in faithful activities that advance the stewardship functions of YFC USA. These activities will include—but are not limited to— extending invitations to fund raising events, recruiting personal circle of influence/YFC donor contacts, sending letters, handwritten notes, personal calls, and personally ministering to donor contacts.
