Position Summary

Full job description

The Ministry Director will work with the Executive Director to be primarily responsible for the YFC ministry that takes place within the chapter. This includes the training local partners on YFC strategies, development of volunteer and staff teams, community relations, fund development, and participation in the YFC Executive team and leading the Ministry Leadership Team.

Key areas of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Casting vision for YFC Ministry across the chapter.
  • Recruiting, training and empowering the YFC ministry team. Staff & Volunteers
  • Encouraging/pastoring/coaching the ministry leadership teams in their roles.
  • Leading the Ministry Leadership Team to create and provide streamlined trainings and other ministry tools to be shared across the chapter. Then to ensure those are implemented across all ministry areas.
  • Ability to work with the administrative team to ensure processes are streamlined and communicated to those on the front lines.
  • Working with the Ministry Leadership Team to plan events and trips to promote the use of RMAs with students in order to fulfill our mission.
  • Working to ensure the mission and vision of YFC are being met through the core ministries being implemented. This includes seeing lost kids involved in the ministry, kids coming to know Christ, kids being discipled and planted in local churches, and kids becoming lifelong followers of Christ across the chapter.
  • Building a strong financial base of support for the YFC ministry.
  • Casting the vision for YFC ministry in the community and pursuing relationships, partnerships and resources to see those growth goals come to life.
  • Building relationships with leaders in both the secular and church community who have a desire to partner with YFC.
  • Being an active part of the YFC staff team. Contributing leadership to chapter-wide staff meetings, fundraising, and ministry events

  • Submit to an extensive background and reference check
  • 3 or more years of direct ministry experience
  • Participate fully in the life of the staff, board and volunteers
  • Can effectively build and lead teams of people
  • Able to shepherd individual leaders
  • Skilled in problem solving

Preferred Education & Experience

  • Prior ministry and/or education experience is required
  • Bachelors or above in ministry and/or educations fields preferred, but all applications considered.

Fundraising Responsibilities

All YFC employees are expected to regularly and actively participate in faithful activities that advance the stewardship functions of YFC/USA. These activities will include—but are not limited to— extending invitations to fund raising events, recruiting personal circle of influence/YFC donor contacts, sending letters, handwritten notes, personal calls, and personally ministering to donor contacts.
