Position Summary

The Campus Life Site Director leads and cultivates a team of volunteers to build Christ-sharing relationships with high school students. This position blends relational ministry with team leadership, event planning, and community collaboration. The Director embodies Youth for Christ's Cultural Attributes and facilitates weekly programming, seasonal events, and a volunteer team focused on reaching local teens through the Campus Life model.

This role is ideal for a relational leader who is spiritually grounded, flexible, and passionate about connecting youth to the Gospel through authentic relationships and community partnerships.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Campus Life Volunteer & Team Development (50%)

- Recruit and build a spiritually healthy team of adult and student leaders

- Equip leaders to engage in relational ministry through YFC’s 3 Story approach

- Provide regular training and care for volunteers, helping them grow spiritually and in leadership

- Foster partnerships with local churches to recruit volunteers and connect teens

2. Weekly Ministry Programming (30%)

- Lead or coordinate weekly Campus Life gatherings with outreach focus

- Develop or adapt lessons and activities that support YFC’s Relational Ministry Actions (RMAs)

- Be present on or near campus for relationship-building (lunch visits, games, clubs, etc.)

- Encourage volunteers to consistently engage students beyond weekly programming

3. Administration, Reporting & Communication (10%)

- Submit monthly updates and track student engagement

- Maintain volunteer paperwork and background checks

- Communicate effectively with team, parents, and community partners

4. Donor Engagement & Community Representation (5%)

- Participate in annual fundraising event(s)

- Share stories and impact with supporters through personal contact or updates

- Represent Campus Life in community and church settings

5. Seasonal Responsibilities (5%)

- Winter/Spring: Help plan and execute one local outreach event

- Spring/Summer: Recruit and prepare students for YFC Camp and attend as a leader

- Fall: Assist in preparations and invitations for the annual fundraising banquet or event

- A personal, growing relationship with Jesus Christ

- A passion for high school students and relational evangelism

- Comfortable leading teams and facilitating group gatherings

- Organized, dependable, and self-motivated

- Strong communication and people skills

Credentials Required & Preferred Education

- Experience in ministry, youth work, or education preferred

- Ability to pass background checks and child safety training

- High school diploma required; some ministry or college-level training preferred

Fundraising Responsibilities

All YFC employees are expected to regularly and actively participate in faithful activities that advance the stewardship functions of YFC/USA. These activities will include—but are not limited to— extending invitations to fund raising events, recruiting personal circle of influence/YFC donor contacts, sending letters, handwritten notes, personal calls, and personally ministering to donor contacts.
