Position Summary

Position Overview

This position is responsible for overseeing the administration, coordination, and growth of the Rebalance program and assisting with the Campus Life program. This includes working with DHS, DYS, and school systems to establish classes, managing coaches, ensuring compliance with contracts and waivers, handling billing and scheduling, and maintaining communication with key stakeholders such as parents, schools, and the Food Bank. The Rebalance Director plays a crucial role in ensuring the success of the program and supporting the youth it serves.

It requires spiritual and organizational leadership skills, the ability to work with and through other people, and strong communication skills. S/he must embrace and build a team that embodies YFC’s Cultural Attributes: Christ-centered, enduring humility, relentless trust, courageous faithfulness, joyful camaraderie, and kingdom inspired diversity. S/he will seek to implement relational ministry actions to develop Authentic Christ-Sharing Relationships with young people within the context of their YFC ministry model.

Key Responsibilities

Program Development & Partnerships

  • Establish and maintain relationships with DHS (Department of Human Services), and school districts to secure contracts and enroll students in Rebalance classes.
  • Work directly with school systems to expand Rebalance class offerings and ensure alignment with school schedules and needs.
  • Problem-solve challenges related to youth, parents, teachers, schools, DHS, and games to ensure smooth program operations.
  • Foster and grow the area Campus Life program and create synergy between Rebalance and Campus Life.

Coach Management & Training

  • Supervise and support Rebalance coaches, ensuring they are well-equipped to deliver classes effectively.
  • Conduct twice-yearly observations of all coaches’ classes, providing feedback and support as needed.
  • Organize meetings and training sessions for coaches to enhance program delivery and professional development.
  • Be on call during class times to address any urgent issues that arise.

Scheduling & Communication

  • Manage the scheduling of classes and coaches, ensuring all sessions are adequately staffed.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with parents, addressing concerns, providing updates, and ensuring a positive experience for youth.
  • Coordinate with proper entities/people to ensure meals/snacks are available for students as needed.
  • Monitor and verify waivers before youth participation, ensuring compliance with all program policies.
  • Send reminders and updates to coaches regarding text messages to students throughout the week via Slack.
  • Review, check, and distribute letters and official communications as needed.

Billing & Administrative Tasks

  • Handle all billing and invoicing for DHS, and school districts, ensuring timely payments and financial tracking.
  • Assist in grant applications and completion of required paperwork to secure funding and maintain program sustainability.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience working with DHS, or school districts in a program management or administrative role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience supervising and training staff.
  • Excellent organizational abilities, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, schedules, and responsibilities.
  • Effective problem-solving skills, especially in high-pressure situations involving youth, parents, and institutional partners.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to maintain professional relationships with stakeholders.
  • Experience with billing, contracts, and grant writing preferred.
  • Flexibility and availability to be on call during class times to handle urgent matters.

Credentials Required & Preferred Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
  • Ministry experience preferred

Fundraising Responsibilities

All YFC employees are expected to regularly and actively participate in faithful activities that advance the stewardship functions of YFC USA. These activities will include—but are not limited to— extending invitations to fund raising events, recruiting personal circle of influence/YFC donor contacts, sending letters, handwritten notes, personal calls, and personally ministering to donor contacts.
