Position Summary

Position Purpose

The Holistic Coordinator for Urban Ministries oversees key elements of our holistic approach, following the direction of the Ministry Director and YFC USA’s City Life model. This role builds and maintains systems that support effective holistic ministry and smooth center operations, ensuring strong, healthy outcomes.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

1. Holistic Program Implementation & Direct Ministry 

  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and acclimation of ministry leaders to strengthen the holistic model.
  • Work with site directors to ensure the holistic ministry model is implemented effectively.
  • Engage in direct ministry with youth through programming, YFC RMA’s, trips, and events.
  • Manage ministry leader database for tracking, annual updates, training, and connection.

2. Data & Metrics Management 

  • Develop and maintain systems to track program outputs and outcomes.
  • Provide data reports for ministry evaluation and funding purposes.
  • Maintain accurate student and leader records for program planning and reporting.

3. Administrative Coordination (Physical/Organizational Support)

  • Provide administrative support as directed by the Urban Ministry Director.
  • Organize trips and events (student registration, permission forms, money collection, logistics).
  • Assist with communication and promotion of programs to students, families, and the community.

4. Community Engagement & Partnership Building (Community Engagement)

  • Build and maintain relationships with churches, schools, organizations, and businesses that share City Life’s mission.
  • Coordinate collaborative efforts to strengthen ministry impact and visibility.

5. Cross-Functional Support & Innovation (All Holistic Areas)

  • Be cross-trained in key administrative processes across the organization.
  • Lead and support other administrative or operational functions as needed.
  • Contribute ideas for improving processes and increasing ministry effectiveness.

Fundraising Responsibilities

All YFC employees will be given the opportunity to be involved in the stewardship functions of YFC/USA. These opportunities could include fundraising events, circle of influence/YFC donor contacts, and other opportunities as provided.

Spiritual Responsibilities

Youth for Christ is a Christian faith-based, 501c3 organization that requires all staff to be actively living out their Christian faith and committed to a local church body.
