Position Summary

 JOB TITLE: Gracehaven Direct Care Intern                                               

 

Supervisor: Director of Community Engagement and Training

 

GOAL:  To provide excellent trauma-informed care directly to girls who are placed at Gracehaven group home.

 

KEY OBJECTIVES 

  • Responsible to provide Trauma-Informed, strength-based care
  • Responsible to provide a safe and stable environment
  • Responsible to communicate and maintain good working relationships with the youth, co-workers
  • Responsible to implement and enforce Gracehaven rules, policies and procedures
  • Responsible to meet ODJFS requirements, HIPAA, and CARF Requirements
  • Responsible to be a good team-player
  • Responsible to stay awake during entire shift and also perform QA/QI tasks as assigned
  • Responsible to actively embrace spiritual responsibilities  

 

SPECIFIC DUTIES

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

 

Supervision Requirements

  • Collaboratively develop a learning agreement with student intern, field liaison and field instructor
  • Attend supervision weekly and maintain documentation
  • Submit all required paperwork and timesheets in a timely manner

Direct Care Responsibilities 

  • Complete Youth Direct Care Specialist training
  • Also be under supervision of Youth Direct Care Supervisor for Youth Direct Care Specialist specific role/duties
  • Be a team player
  • Be the safe adult in charge

 

Community Engagement and Training

  • Observe and eventually assist with Gracehaven presentations and community events
  • Attend Gracehaven fundraising events
  • Present with professionalism in the community

Position Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • 21 Years of Age
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Agreement with the Central Ohio Youth for Christ and Gracehaven Standards of Conduct and Statement of Faith
