The Events Engagement Specialist is a dynamic and highly collaborative role responsible for both the daily operations of the Solomon Building Suite and the seamless execution of USA-specific events and internal rhythms. This role operates at the intersection of hospitality, logistics, and cross-functional coordination, ensuring a high-quality experience for both internal staff and external guests. The Events Engagement Specialist oversees facilities and event logistics, manages office suite operations, and facilitates executive and cross-departmental meetings with a deep commitment to excellence and care. The position also includes responsibilities related to spiritual leadership and cultural engagement, reinforcing the mission of Youth For Christ through a Christ-centered, service-oriented posture.
The role is divided functionally as follows:
- USA-Specific Events & Internal Rhythms (~50%)
- General Office & Building Operations (~40%)
- Spiritual Responsibilities, Cultural Attributes, Fundraising (~10%)
This dual-focus position supports daily building operations and event planning functions, serving both national office and cross-functional staff. The role provides critical coordination for organizational gatherings, facilitates logistics for visiting staff, and maintains a high standard of facility care and tenant experience.
Essential Functions
USA-Specific Events & Internal Rhythms (~50%):
- Coordinate and manage logistics for a portfolio of YFC USA-led events and internal gatherings, including those within the Office of the President’s regular meeting rhythms.
- Serve as the primary onsite coordinator for all Denver-based YFC USA events, ensuring excellence in execution and hospitality.
- Partner with Executive Assistants to support real-time needs for C-Suite leaders and board members during strategic meetings and national gatherings.
- Support HR onboarding for YFC USA staff by preparing event-related materials and coordinating welcome logistics.
- Coordinate vendor communications for YFC USA event services (e.g., catering, rentals, printing) and ensure quality standards are met.
- Develop and maintain documentation for repeatable event logistics processes across departments.
- Track and report post-event feedback to inform ongoing improvement in event planning and guest experience.
- Collaborate with Strategic Alignment leadership to ensure YFC USA event execution aligns with broader organizational vision, goals, and culture.
- Manage AV inventory, event tech support needs, and coordination with internal tech vendors in support of YFC USA events and gatherings.
- Provide hospitality and atmosphere-setting for internal national events, leadership meetings, and ceremonial functions.
General Office & Building Operations (~40%):
- Tenant Relations and Cultural Integration
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Solomon Suite tenants, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and fostering a positive suite culture.
- Partner with YFC USA and YFCI teams to implement building-wide cultural initiatives in alignment with organizational values.
- Facility Oversight and Management
- Oversee all daily building operations and vendor communications, including HVAC, safety inspections, and maintenance requests.
- Conduct routine walkthroughs to assess facility conditions and proactively address service needs.
- Manage internal room reservations (e.g., the YFC Solomon Building suite and other shared spaces) for operational meetings or external guests.
- Handle mail processing, inventory of shared office supplies, and coordination of building access and security procedures.
- Monitor facilities-related expenses, submit documentation, and access budget systems for tracking purposes in coordination with Events Lead and Finance.
- Maintain records of facility maintenance, service schedules, and vendor agreements for compliance and reporting.
- Implement sustainability practices related to recycling, energy use, and supply management.
- Guest Logistics and Cross-Functional Support
- Coordinate Airbnb reservations, transportation, and local logistics for visiting out-of-state team members and affiliates.
- Prepare welcome kits and orientation materials for new hires or temporary building guests.
- Provide administrative support for collaborative cross-departmental events or trainings requiring room setup, hospitality, or IT support.
- Respond to general building or logistics-related inquiries from staff and ensure alignment with operational standards.
- Assist in reconciling shared event or facility expenses including vendor payments and petty cash.
Spiritual Responsibilities:
Because the overriding religious purpose and mission of Youth for Christ USA is to communicate and introduce the Gospel of Jesus Christ to young people and their families, and in that regard to make, educate and encourage life-long disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, it is very important that you as an employee in the movement of Youth for Christ be recognized as an associate minister of the Gospel.

Fundraising Responsibilities:
All YFC employees are expected to regularly and actively participate in faithful activities that advance the stewardship functions of YFC/USA. These activities will include—but are not limited to— extending invitations to fundraising events, recruiting a personal circle of influence/YFC donor contacts, sending letters, handwritten notes, personal calls, and personally ministering to donor contacts.
