Position Summary

PURPOSE

Lead all aspects of YFCNIN donation and accounts receivable processes and assist in the management of all internal development systems and activities.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Accounts Receivable/Donation Processing

  • Enter and track gifts to the ministry in Salesforce
  • Process daily donations/revenue and mail/email receipts
  • Produce regular reports as needed
  • Prepare and make regular bank deposit
  • Stay up to date on the local and national processes and best practices in regards to donation processing, accounts receivable and other applicable areas

Donor Management

  • Manage the donor tracking software & maintain an accurate database
  • Assist staff with donor engagement routines, collection reminders, and donor correspondence
  • Assist with optimization of donor giving platforms
  • Aid giving partners as they need to make changes and updates to their giving preferences
  • Proactively follow up on missed pledges, declined pledges and the like

General Office Duties

  • Track Development event attendance in Salesforce
  • Pick up mail daily from mailbox, process and distribute all mail
  • Assist with financial administration of projects including: fundraisers, charter reports, year-end reports, donor gifts, payment processing, and other agreed upon projects
  • Assist with other Development and Operations projects as directed by leadership
  • Attend staff gatherings

FUNDRAISING RESPONSIBILITIES

All leaders will be given the opportunity to be involved in the stewardship functions of YFCNIN. These opportunities could include fundraising events, YFC donor contacts, and other opportunities as provided.

SPIRITUAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Because the overriding religious purpose and mission of Youth for Christ USA is to communicate and introduce the Gospel of Jesus Christ to young people and their families, and in that regard to make, educate and encourage lifelong disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, it is very important that you as an employee in the movement of Youth for Christ be recognized as an associate minister of the Gospel.

As an employee and a minister of the Gospel, YFCNIN expects all leaders to:

  • Seek God’s guidance & wisdom, through prayer & meditation, for the organization as a whole as well as for specific ministry initiatives.
  • Participate & lead regular times of prayer, devotion & worship as a regular aspect of your role within YFCNIN.
  • Teach & preach from the Holy Bible at YFC staff meetings, conferences, camps & events.
  • Model empathy, humility and care for all people. This includes promoting equity and inclusion in word and in the practice of facial expression.

Position Requirements

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of a high school diploma is required. However, additional education in the area of business, computers, and/or finance is preferred.

  • Experience and skill with computer software, particularly Microsoft Office, Google Suite, databases, internet/email

  • Experienced in successful management of multiple tasks in a fast paced office environment
  • Teachable and able to take input from supervisor and peers
