Position Summary

This position is to oversee and execute all organizational strategy and business operations.

Human Resource Management

  • Develop and oversee HR policies to ensure compliance with local, national, and organizational standards.
  • Manage all aspects of recruitment, onboarding, and employee transitions, including hiring, training, and terminations.
  • Ensure staff receive performance assessments and document necessary training and development.

YFC National Reporting

  • Oversee timely and accurate reporting of volunteer, personnel, financial, and legal information to Youth for Christ USA to ensure accountability and mission alignment.

Financial Oversight

  • Manage chapter finances, including accounts payable, employee compensation, and donor funding transfers.
  • Provide financial reports to inform decision-making and ensure accountability.
  • Develop and monitor an annual budget aligned with the organization’s Strategic Plan and audit requirements.

Risk Management

  • Oversee the reporting and resolution of incidents or activities that compromise safety or integrity.
  • Maintain communication with the National YFC Risk Management Team to ensure compliance and best practices.
  • Partner Engagement & Development
  • Manage donor relationships and tracking systems to ensure alignment with development goals.
  • Facilitate the processing of donations and maintain accurate financial reporting.

Collaboration Marketing and Community Development Endeavors

  • Partner with the Executive Director to design and execute marketing strategies that enhance visibility and support organizational goals.
  • Supervise Community Development Officer role

Because the overriding religious purpose and mission of Youth for Christ USA is to communicate and introduce the Gospel of Jesus Christ to young people and their families, and in that regard to make, educate and encourage life-long disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, it is very important that you as an employee in the movement of Youth for Christ be recognized as an associate minister of the Gospel.

As an employee of Youth for Christ and an associate minister of the Gospel, YFC expects all employees to:

  • Seek God’s guidance and wisdom, through prayer and meditation, for the organization as a whole as well as for specific ministry initiatives.
  • Participate and lead regular times of prayer, devotion and worship as a regular aspect of your role within YFC.
  • Teach and preach from the Holy Bible at YFC staff meetings, conferences, camps and events.
  • Model empathy, humility and care for all people. This includes promoting equity and inclusion in word and in the practice of faith expression. 

YFC employees will have an opportunity to be commissioned or licensed as a minister of the Gospel through the established Youth for Christ process, and/or ordained by an outside body recognized by Youth for Christ USA. 

All YFC employees are expected to regularly and actively participate in faithful activities that advance the stewardship functions of YFC/USA. These activities will include—but are not limited to— extending invitations to fund raising events, recruiting personal circle of influence/YFC donor contacts, sending letters, handwritten notes, personal calls, and personally ministering to donor contacts. 

Position Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Master's in related field preferred. Bachelor's Degree in related field required

Equipment & Software Utilized

Microsoft Office Suite, Quickbooks, Salesforce, PayTrace, Zoom, Paychex Flex, Impact, GivingFuel RegFox, Google Suite, Smart Sheets, Concur and various other programs needed to effectively and efficiently complete the needed tasks.

Budget management

Manages all budgets for the chapter

A Budget Manager is responsible:

  • To align all financial resources to the YFC/USA strategic plan in accordance with the delegation and direction of the Budget Managers Division Head.
  • For Approval, coding, and financial decision-making related to their assigned Division/Department/Action Plan budgets.
  • To communicate overfunded/underfunded tasks to their Executive Director, Division Head and/or the VP of Finance in a timely basis.

  • 160 hours (20 days) of PTO. PTO hours do not carry over, are not accrued and must be used by January 1st.
  • Paid holidays include: New Year’s Day, MLK and President’s Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, 4 th of July, Labor Day, Thursday and Friday of Thanksgiving week, Christmas Eve and Day. If holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday the Friday before or the Monday after may be used for the Holiday.
  • 2 Personal days and 8 paid sick leave days. Please see employee handbook for explanation of sick leave.
  • 1 sabbath day per quarter. Please see employee handbook for explanation.
  • 3% annual raise on anniversary hire date.
  • Potential year-end bonus
