Position Summary

The Director of City Impact Integration will play a key leadership role during the transition as City Impact and Youth for Christ come together in a unified mission. This position will serve as a relational bridge between the legacy of City Impact and the future vision of the merged ministry. The Director will help communicate the heart, history, and impact of City Impact while casting a clear and compelling vision for how the mission will expand and strengthen through integration with Youth for Christ.

In this role, the Director will focus primarily on strengthening relationships with key donors, partners, and community supporters. Through personal meetings, storytelling, and thoughtful communication, the Director will help ensure that supporters understand and embrace the vision of the combined ministry. The Director of City Impact Integration will work closely with leadership to introduce key partners to the broader mission of Youth for Christ, helping ensure continuity of trust, financial support, and shared commitment as the organizations move forward together. The role will also provide operational support during the transition, helping ensure continuity in office systems, processes, and key administrative functions so that the integration of the two organizations is smooth and well-coordinated. Their familiarity with existing systems and practices will help maintain stability while new structures and workflows are implemented.

Essential Functions

Relationship Development

  • Leads the advancement of Gospel ministry by meeting meet face to face with 100 engaged partners of YFC and City Impact to share the compelling vision of the combined ministry. This will be a team effort as at least one member from each of the original entities will be in these meetings.
  • Communicate clearly to the community about how the combined ministry with further advance the improvement of the community immediately around City Impact as well as the entire city through YFC's integrated ministries.
  • Develop, Implement and Launch a $3m capital campaign to pay off and improve the City Impact Center as well as fund a surge of ministry to the neighborhood along with the Community Engagement Team.
  • Develop relationships through faithful, personalized touchpoints with current and potential giving partners interested in funding City Impact's long time work in the community.
  • With the Community Engagement team plan and Implement a Vision Dinner in the Fall for the Christian Community to catch the vision for reaching the neighborhood for Christ.
  • Along with the Executive Director join the Lifestyle Giving Cohort to implement a strategy of long term estate giving.
  • Utilizes tools and platforms to prepare and send ministry updates to giving partner base in the form of monthly letters, emails, etc.
  • Collects ministry update content from staff, volunteers and kids (i.e. quotes, stories, images, footage) on an ongoing basis to customize monthly or quarterly communications.
  • Implements special communication projects, as assigned

Program Leadership

  • Ensure that programs which are in place continue to reach the youth and children involved.
  • Actively look for and participate in methods to improve those programs and see more involvement. --

Spiritual Responsibilities

  • Seek God’s guidance and wisdom, through prayer and meditation, for the organization as a whole as well as for specific ministry initiatives.
  • Participate and lead regular times of prayer, devotion and worship as a regular aspect of your role within YFC.
  • Teach and preach from the Holy Bible at YFC staff meetings, conferences, camps and events.
  • Model empathy, humility and care for all people. This includes promoting equity and inclusion in word and in the practice of faith expression.

YFC employees will have an opportunity to be commissioned or licensed as a minister of the Gospel through the established Youth for Christ process, and/or ordained by an outside body recognized by Youth for Christ USA.

Credentials Required & Preferred Education

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Some event planning and management experience. Must be open to meeting new people and provide a positive interaction for them
