Position Summary

JOB TITLE: Direct Service - Clinical Intern

Supervisor: Director of Clinical Services

GOAL: To provide high quality, trauma-informed therapeutic care to youth receiving Gracehaven's Therapeutic Services and use evidence-informed individual, family, and group therapies and curriculums.

 

KEY OBJECTIVES

  • Responsible for the collaborative development of and compliance with an agreed upon Learning Agreement/Contract developed in partnership with Student Intern, Gracehaven Supervisor/Field Instructor, and University's Field Liaison.
  • Responsible for providing Clinical/Case Management Services to adolescents and their families under the direct supervision of Field Instructor/Gracehaven LISW(S) and/or LPCC(S) and maintaining a small caseload.
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate and up to date client records that meet compliance standards.
  • Responsible to participate in supervisory/team meetings, maintain supervision log, and submit for approval

 

SPECIFIC DUTIES

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Supervision Requirements

  • Collaboratively develop a Learning Agreement in partnership with student intern, field instructor, and field liaison.
  • Attend supervision weekly and maintain documentation of supervision content and hours.
  • Submit Supervision hours to Gracehaven and university each semester.

Clinical/Case Management Responsibilities

  • Maintaining a client caseload of 4-6 sessions per week.
  • Tracking internship hours and submit time logs to your Field Instructor for approval.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Complete diagnostic assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, discharge summaries as outlined in the Gracehaven Policies and Procedures Manual.
