Position Summary
Are you a gifted relationship-builder, passionate about connecting people to a mission that matters? YFC Military is seeking a remote Community Engagement Coordinator (CEC) who will be a fundraising champion for our ministry. This role is perfect for a metrics-driven and relationally-gifted individual who is energized by proactively engaging potential partners, inviting them into the YFC Military story, and watching their commitment to our mission grow. As the primary mouthpiece for YFC Military, you will cultivate the essential relationships and communications that directly fuel our ability to serve the military community.
Essential Functions
Communication & Storytelling (60%)
- Serve as the lead storyteller, preparing and sending bi-monthly newsletters and ministry updates to our giving partners via letters and email.
- Actively collect and edit powerful content (quotes, stories, images) from staff, volunteers, and the youth we serve to create compelling communications.
- Oversee our digital presence by posting weekly to all YFC Military social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram).
- Maintain the YFC Military website, ensuring stories and ministry information are current and engaging.
- Design and create essential communication tools (flyers, brochures, business cards) to empower YFC Military staff in sharing their story.
- Supports YFC Military in relational care of all partners by enabling staff to report missional progress, express gratitude through thank you notes, personal calls, and gifts as appropriate
Relationship & Donor Development (25%)
- Build and nurture authentic relationships with current and potential giving partners through personalized, faithful touchpoints.
- Graciously and respectfully invite prospective partners to invest financially in the YFC Military mission.
- Diligently track all interactions in our database, managing follow-up with event attendees and communication respondents to guide them toward deeper involvement.
- Implement strategies to re-engage lapsed donors, personally following up to reignite their passion for the mission.
- Support the relational care of all partners by enabling staff to report missional progress and express gratitude through notes, calls, and gifts.
Volunteer Coordination & Empowerment (10%)
- Communicate regularly with volunteers to provide encouragement, support, and appreciation for their invaluable contribution.
- Guide interested adults through the YFC onboarding process, encouraging them in their volunteer journey.
- Support ministry staff in best practices for empowering and leading volunteers effectively.
Event Support (5%)
- As a key member of the Development Team, assist in the organization and execution of donor events (both virtual and physical), including "See The Story" and "Be The Story" gatherings.
- Manage invitations and RSVPs for YFC Military sponsored events.
- In partnership with the Development team, help lead, inspire, and coach YFC Military staff to meet their fundraising and "circle of influence" (COI) goals.
- Execute acquisition-oriented events on social media channels
Spiritual Responsibilities
- Seek God’s guidance and wisdom, through prayer and meditation, for the organization as a whole as well as for specific ministry initiatives.
- Participate and lead regular times of prayer, devotion and worship as a regular aspect of your role within YFC.
- Teach and preach from the Holy Bible at YFC staff meetings, conferences, camps and events.
- Model empathy, humility and care for all people. This includes promoting equity and inclusion in word and in the practice of faith expression.
YFC employees will have an opportunity to be commissioned or licensed as a minister of the Gospel through the established Youth for Christ process, and/or ordained by an outside body recognized by Youth for Christ USA.
Fundraising Responsibilities
All YFC employees are expected to regularly and actively participate in faithful activities that advance the stewardship functions of YFC/USA.

You will have the opportunity to build and grow a base of regular donors, generating the revenue needed to fully support your ministry.
