Position Summary

The Campus Life Site Director leads all facets of the Campus Life ministry at your high school and middle school. S/he works under the direction of the High School Campus Life Director. This includes oversight of ministry sites, shepherding leaders, and resourcing ministry as they develop effective ministry.

The Campus Life Site Director is a minister of the Gospel. As a full-time salaried position, it is understood that staff has flexibility in their work day but also that staff are committed to working whatever hours are necessary to accomplish the responsibilities of the job.

Essential Functions

Ministry Health

  • Build a ministry team culture that embodies the 5 Essentials
  • Lead team meetings and provide communications to unify team and ministry efforts
  • Create systems and plans that coordinate healthy ministry work day to day
  • Keep supervisor aware of ministry health, progress and challenges
  • Model direct ministry with kids for your ministry teams
  • Develop a missional community with your teams
  • Recruit a prayer team and keep them informed on prayer needs of ministry
  • Follow all YFC safety standards

Ministry Growth

  • Set goals and be accountable for results
  • Recruit and train volunteer ministry and student leader teams to build authentic Christ sharing relationships with lost students. Minimum of 25 Christ-sharing relationships with a goal of 50 plus by year two
  • Regularly provide opportunities for students to respond to the Gospel in one on one, small groups and large group settings
  • Oversee all aspects of Campus Life Relational Ministry Activities for your schools.
  • Build ministry depth by taking students to YFC camps and other overnight experiences
  • Be responsible for follow-up of all students who make commitments to following Christ

Leadership Development

  • Build a culture of growth and development within your ministry teams
  • Be responsible for your Leaders leadership development
  • Participate in Leader recruitment, training and retention systems and efforts
  • Consistently share YFC mission and vision with the community

Partner Development

  • Accept responsibility of all organizational fundraising events and tasks
  • Win, keep and lift donors that are my Key Relationships
  • Work with supervisor in pursuing significant donors
  • Add new names to the YFC mailing list
  • Write letters, articles and other stories for YFC publications

Personal Development

  • Complete YFC Leadership Blueprint (credentialing)
  • Be a reader

Spiritual Responsibilities

Because the overriding religious purpose and mission of Youth for Christ USA is to communicate and introduce the Gospel of Jesus Christ to young people and their families, and in that regard to make, educate and encourage life-long disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, it is very important that you as an employee in the movement of Youth for Christ be recognized as an associate minister of the Gospel. As an employee of Youth for Christ and an associate minister of the Gospel, YFC expects all employees to:

  • Seek God’s guidance and wisdom, through prayer and meditation, for the organization as a whole as well as for specific ministry initiatives.
  • Participate and lead regular times of prayer, devotion and worship as a regular aspect of your role within YFC.
  • Teach and preach from the Holy Bible at YFC staff meetings, conferences, camps and events.
  • Model empathy, humility and care for all people. This includes promoting equity and inclusion in word and in the practice of faith expression. YFC employees will have an opportunity to be commissioned or licensed as a minister of the Gospel through the established Youth for Christ process, and/or ordained by an outside body recognized by Youth for Christ USA.

  • Bachelor’s degree or experience equivalent
  • Leader seeking 3 year plus ministry role

Fundraising Responsibilities

All YFC employees are expected to regularly and actively participate in faithful activities that advance the stewardship functions of YFC/USA. These activities will include—but are not limited to— extending invitations to fund raising events, recruiting personal circle of influence/YFC donor contacts, sending letters, handwritten notes, personal calls, and personally ministering to donor contacts.
