The vision of the Seattle YFC internship program is to serve as a training ground for young leaders to grow as disciples, gain valuable experience and education as leaders and be given real life opportunities to discover and deploy their ministry giftings for Kingdom ministry to students age 11-19 years old.
The Seattle YFC Internship Program is a launch pad and sending center for world class ministry leaders in our region and around the world. We want interns to grow spiritually, be equipped as leaders and prepared for a lifetime of living on mission for Christ. With that vision in mind, we seek to equip and empower our interns with the following skills:
Gospel Grounding -
Every intern will have a firm understanding of the Gospel and an ability to articulate the Gospel clearly. In addition, interns will understand how the Gospel informs their walk with Christ and every area of their lives and ministry.
Engagement with Students & Culture -
Interns will gain experience and training in learning to engage a diverse population of students and understand how to bring Christ into culture.
Spiritual Formation -
Interns will be challenged to grow spiritually through Bible study, theological education, practicing spiritual disciplines, and intentional discipleship.
Personal & Leadership Development -
Interns will be given training and opportunity to grow in personal character and life skills as well as leadership principles and experience.
Hands On Ministry Experience -
Every Intern will be given training and opportunity to serve and make disciples of students. Depending upon the Intern’s Track, the Intern will gain specific mentoring, training and experience in their
