Position Summary

The purpose of the Project and Change Specialist is to professionally assist the ongoing work of YFC/USA’s Projects team.

Essential Job Functions and Duties

Member of the Projects Department:

  • Actively participate in discussions and contribute to finding effective solutions.
  • Work closely with team members and cross-functional teams for efficient communication.
  • Lead assigned tasks for the Projects Department, including roadmap development, training, documentation, etc.

Project Management:

  • Develop strategies and plans to achieve project objectives.
  • Direct day-to-day execution and delivery of projects within your portfolio, allocating resources and managing performance.
  • Build and maintain healthy relationships with sponsors, team members and stakeholders.
  • Proactively monitor and control risks that could impact the successful outcome of the project.
  • Document and communicate project progress, activities, and strategies to ensure alignment across all stakeholders.

Change Management:

  • Develop and execute a PROSCI-based change management strategy outlining support for impacted groups.
  • Evaluate organizational readiness for change and proactively address potential resistance.
  • Develop and collaborate on the delivery of communication, training, and coaching plans.
  • Apply the ADKAR model to assess individuals' capability to navigate the future state and ensure a successful adoption.

Fundraising Responsibilities:

All YFC regular full time employees will be given the opportunity to be involved in the Stewardship functions of YFC/USA. These opportunities could include fund raising events, circle of influence/YFC donor contacts, and other opportunities as provided.

Spiritual Responsibilities:

Because the overriding religious purpose and mission of Youth for Christ USA is to communicate and introduce the Gospel of Jesus Christ to young people and their families, and in that regard to make, educate and encourage life-long disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, it is very important that you as an employee in the movement of Youth for Christ be recognized as an associate minister of the Gospel.

As an employee of Youth for Christ and an associate minister of the Gospel, YFC expects all employees to:

  • Seek God’s guidance and wisdom, through prayer and meditation, for the organization as a whole as well as for specific ministry initiatives.
  • Participate and lead regular times of prayer, devotion and worship as a regular aspect of your role within YFC.
  • Teach and preach from the Holy Bible at YFC staff meetings, conferences, camps and events.

Additionally, YFC employees will have an opportunity to be commissioned or licensed as a minister of the Gospel through the established Youth for Christ process, and/or ordained by an outside body recognized by Youth for Christ USA. As such, the following additional responsibilities of a spiritual nature will apply to this position:

  • Perform sacramental functions such as the taking of communion and leading times of corporate prayer, confession and praise.
  • Perform and lead religious ceremonies such as weddings, baptism and funerals when called upon by staff and other members of the YFC community.

Credentials Required & Preferred Education:

  • College graduate preferred or equivalent work/training experience.
  • 3-5 years of project management and/or change management experience.
  • PMP/CAPM Certification preferred or willing to obtain certification within 12 months of hire PROSCI Practitioner Certification preferred or willing to obtain certification within 12 months of hire
  • Servant attitude and heart for reaching the lost.

Equipment & Software Utilized:

  • Microsoft Office Suite, Smartsheet, Zoom, Salesforce, Microsoft Teams, Paychex Flex, ExpenseWire

Travel Requirements:

  • Some travel required for events and meetings to manage onsite logistics/support
