Position Summary

Position Summary

The Ministry Support Assistant position requires a “hands-on”, community facing person to perform daily administrative functions including but not limited to general ministry support and facility oversight. S/he will work to maintain a problem free work environment for all ministry staff.

Essential Functions

  • Answers office phone, daily retrieves voice messages and checks corporate email account daily.
  • Ensures delivery of outgoing mail and retrieves incoming mail from PO Box weekly.
  • Collaborates with admin team to assist ministry staff, process donations and execute printing needs.
  • Manages office facility, inventory and purchase of needed supplies.
  • Ministers the Gospel by seeking God’s guidance and wisdom through prayer and meditation, participates in regular times of prayer and worship in role with YFC, and models empathy, humility and care for all people.

Position Requirements

Knowledge & Skills

  • Demonstrates ability to work and communicate professionally, verbally, and in written form with internal stall and external customers.
  • Demonstrates excellence with detailed oriented processes and procedures, in both following them and creating them.
  • Must be able to work independently and exhibit initiative to solve problems, including tracking situations until appropriate resolution is achieved, and tracking tasks and projects to completion.
  • Must be available to be on-call after hours to respond to emergency situations.

Credentials Required & Preferred Education

  • Must be High school graduate; Some college preferred
  • Microsoft Office 365 skills including Excel and Outlook.

Fundraising Responsibilities

All YFC employees are expected to regularly and actively participate in faithful activities that advance the stewardship functions of YFC/USA. These activities will include—but are not limited to— extending invitations to fund raising events, recruiting personal circle of influence/YFC donor contacts, sending letters, handwritten notes, personal calls, and personally ministering to donor contacts.
