The Ministry Director reports to the Executive Director and serves as a key part of the leadership team. S/he is primarily responsible for, but not limited to, overseeing all ministry models for the chapter. This includes oversight of ministry sites, shepherding through the supervision of the ministry staff and their growth and development, resourcing the staff as they implement effective ministry, development of future ministry sites, community collaboration and fund development.
Essential Functions
· Discipleship and oversight of ministry staff
o Build relationships with staff
o Provide encouragement, counseling and problem solving
o Oversee staff credentialing process
o Help staff set annual goals, hold staff accountable, and perform annual reviews
· Ministry Execution
o Conducting ministry site visits
o Ensuring the use of YFC Standards & Best Practices
o Training & Equipping
o Launching new ministry sites
· Ministry Reporting
o Creating a monthly Board Report
o Ensuring that staff complete monthly Impact Reports
· Ministry Trips & Events
o Oversee YFC Camp (summer)
o Oversee Student Leadership Retreat (fall)
o Oversee Student Lock-ins (spring & fall)
· Other Details
o Serve on the Executive Leadership Team
o Oversee ministry staff hiring
o Manage the website
o Fundraise (encouraged, not required)
o Speak at churches, ministry sites, or events as needed
YFC Team Responsibilities
The Ministry Director, like all paid staff members, has various responsibilities to the overall work of Kalamazoo Youth for Christ. This is including, but not limited to:
· Attend staff meetings and staff prayer meetings regularly.
· Attend regional and national YFC trainings and conferences as determined by their supervisor.
· Assist with ministry and/or project assignments as determined by their supervisor.
· Meet regularly with supervisor for evaluation and encouragement.
· Complete regular ministry reports.
· Complete YFC USA credentialing process within two years of hire date.

Fundraising Responsibilities
All YFC employees are expected to regularly and actively participate in faithful activities that advance the stewardship functions of YFC/USA. These activities will include—but are not limited to— extending invitations to fund raising events, recruiting personal circle of influence/YFC donor contacts, sending letters, handwritten notes, personal calls, and personally ministering to donor contacts.
