Juvenile Justice Ministry- Site Director

Position Summary

The JJM Site Director has the exciting opportunity to head up YFC ministry programs and outreach to incarcerated and post-incarcerated youth Polk County.

Ministry Health

Direct and guide the volunteers and staff team in your area through the 5 Essentials and National best practices
Develop ministry sites health and growth
Regularly evaluate ministry effectiveness while helping sites and leaders grow
Volunteer oversight for your ministry area: develop a recruiting, training and retention plan for volunteers and volunteer teams.
Build deep community relationships in and around current ministry sites.
Consistently involved in local ministry with lost teens.
Some administrative function involved (reporting, scheduling, etc.
Build strong servant minded and cooperative relationship with facility staff and administration.

Ministry Growth

- Work with the Executive Director or designee in developing vision for ministry expansion in your area

Recruit, train, and develop volunteers to go into juvenile justice facilities to meet, mentor, and share the Gospel with teens.
Learn and train others in the Three-Story model
Build a strategic community support team

Leadership Development

Participate in the YFC Leadership Blueprint process
Help build a culture of people development within the chapter.
Aid new ministry staff in their journey through the initial YFC Credentialing process.
Participate in the wider YFC movement for your continued personal growth.
Assist in oversight of any internship programs for investment in raising up young leaders.

Donor Development

Be involved in all team-oriented fundraising efforts.
Help develop local support to assist with the current and future ministry sites.
In coordination and discussion with the Executive Director, set an personal annual fundraising goal to help provide resources for the ministry.

Credentials Required & Preferred Education

Experience working with at-risk and/or incarcerated youth.
Previous personal ministry experience.
Must submit to background screening process.
Experience working with others in a team.
Experience leading people
High School Diploma or GED

Fundraising Responsibilities

All YFC employees are expected to regularly and actively participate in faithful activities that advance the stewardship functions of YFC/USA. These activities will include—but are not limited to— extending invitations to fund raising events, recruiting personal circle of influence/YFC donor contacts, sending letters, handwritten notes, personal calls, and personally ministering to donor contacts.
