GOAL: To advance the mission and vision of Central Ohio Youth for Christ, by providing human resources support to staff across COYFC ministries.
Supervisor: Director of Operations
KEY OBJECTIVES
- Onboard and orient all new staff personnel to COYFC HR systems
- Manage insurance onboarding and open enrollment for eligible staff
- Management of employee PTO
- Maintain appropriate documentation for all employees
- Assist with overflow needs with personnel recruitment
- Fulfill administrative and spiritual staff responsibilities
SPECIFIC DUTIES
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Onboard Staff Personnel
- Enter all new staff personnel into Paycor HR system at the conclusion of the hiring process
- Assist staff with completion of necessary payroll documents
- Serve as initial point of contact for payroll setup and processing
- Set up new staff email account and provide access credentials
- Meet with new staff personnel face-to-face for an onboarding meeting
- Assist Director of Operations with other onboarding tasks as needed
Insurance Enrollment
- Oversee annual insurance open enrollment process for existing staff
- Onboard new staff personnel to medical and voluntary insurance
- Provide staff with needed information on insurance programs and policies
- Learn COYFC insurance policies in order to answer staff questions
HR Documentation and Reporting:
- Assemble staff personnel files with all required documentation and forms
- Provide reporting to Director of Operations and other leaders as needed
- Stay up-to-date on insurance documentation, payroll/job change forms, as well as any other changes to a staff member’s employment
- Assist with annual YFC/USA chartering, as well as any additional annual reporting
- Ensure that time sheets are completed in a timely manner for each payroll period
PTO Benefits Management:
- Monitor employee PTO overage and report to supervisor and Director of Operations
- Ensure that each employee accrues time appropriate to their role
- Factor in YFC/USA credentialing and job changes into PTO accrual
- Process FMLA requests, as well as documentation for short and long-term disability
- Become knowledgeable on FLSA policies for staff personnel
Overflow Personnel Recruitment:
- Become knowledgeable on all aspects of personnel recruitment and screening for COYFC ministries
- Assist recruitment staff in Operations with personnel screening as needed to meet recruitment needs for the chapter
COYFC Staff Responsibilities:
- Promptly communicate to staff personnel across COYFC divisions
- Attend quarterly staff meetings as well as bi-weekly supervisory meetings
- Support chapter fundraising efforts by inviting a minimum of 4 guests each year to attend See the Story tours and the Be the Story luncheon
- Complete initial training as well as ongoing development training for your role
Spiritual Responsibilities
Because COYFC and its subsidiaries are a part of the same faith-based organization and share a faith mission and set of values, we require all employees to consistently apply and live according to the religious mission and theological beliefs. Each staff member, regardless of role, is asked to:

- Conduct customer service and vendor relations in a way that honors God and maintains the integrity of COYFC
