Position Summary

PURPOSE

The Holistic Coordinator for Urban Ministries will primarily oversee the functions of our holistic approach, as directed by the Ministry Director for Urban Ministries, and YFC USA’s guide to the City Life ministry model. This role will implement structures that support ministry effectiveness and efficient operations of the center to ensure healthy outcomes of robust ministry.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Holistic Model | Take lead with site directors on how we ensure efficient implementation of the holistic model for ministry effectiveness. Direct ministry with youth during programming, RMA’s, and trips and events.

Metrics & Tracking

  • Produce and manage metric systems to track program outputs and outcomes for reporting.

Administrative Responsibilities 

  • Provide administrative support to team as instructed by Urban Ministry Director 
  • Provide organizational structure for student registration, permission forms, money for trips/events and tracking student attendance/involvement
  • Assist with communication & promotion of programs to teens, their families, and the communities in which they live
  • Community Engagement
  • Foster relationships with like minded partners (organizations, churches, businesses, schools) bringing effectiveness to the ministry

Ministry Leader Engagement

  • Recruit, onboard, and acclimate ministry leaders to improve the holistic model within City Life ministry
  • Manage the ministry leader database

Miscellaneous Administrative Functions

  • Be cross trained on all organizational administrative functions
  • Lead and perform other administrative or operating functions as needed
  • Contribute ideas toward new administrative procedures to enhance effectiveness of self and others within the department

FUNDRAISING RESPONSIBILITIES

All leaders will be given the opportunity to be involved in the stewardship functions of YFCNIN. These opportunities could include fundraising events, YFC donor contacts, and other opportunities as provided.

SPIRITUAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Youth for Christ is a Christian faith-based, 501c3 organization that requires all staff to be actively living out their Christian faith and committed to a local church body.

Because the overriding religious purpose and mission of Youth for Christ USA is to communicate and introduce the Gospel of Jesus Christ to young people and their families, and in that regard to make, educate and encourage lifelong disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, it is very important that you as an employee in the movement of Youth for Christ be recognized as an associate minister of the Gospel.

Position Requirements

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
  • Established work experience with youth; preferably urban/under resourced communities/demographics
