Position Summary

West Sound Youth for Christ (WSYFC) is a Christ-centered, nondenominational youth ministry reaching unchurched youth with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. WSYFC currently works with over 2,000 kids each month throughout Kitsap County, seeking community transformation through holistic and relational outreach to kids and families of all backgrounds and beliefs.

Our mission is to enable youth to become leaders of change in their community by engaging them in relationships, equipping them with skills, and empowering them through leadership. Motivated by faith in Jesus Christ, Youth for Christ believes every kid can give life to their story. 

West Sound Youth for Christ has 4 core ministries spread throughout Kitsap and North Mason counties.  These ministry models are supported by YFC/USA: Campus Life, Juvenile Justice, Parent Life, and YFC Camp. 

In keeping with its biblical mission to win youth to Christ by engaging them in relationship, equipping them in their faith in Jesus, and empowering them to be agents of change in their community, WSYFC is searching for a new Executive Director to guide and direct the staff and volunteers in accomplishing WSYFC’s objectives. The Executive Director is a pivotal and strategic role, requiring a leader who effectively integrates vision and strategy, team development, ministry development, and resource stewardship (fund development, operations, and asset management.)

Position Requirements

Leading from a life centered in Christ, the Executive Director is the organization's Chief Executive Officer and visionary leader. The Executive Director is responsible to the WSYFC Board of Directors for the chapter’s day-to-day operations in fulfillment of the mission. This person’s responsibility is to see that the following four Roles of Leadership are executed with excellence: Visionary Strategist, Team Developer, Ministry Developer, and Resource Steward (fund development, organizational and financial management).

Credentials Required & Preferred Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred. 
  • Minimum of five years related experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
