Events Manager

Position Goal: To advance the social and spiritual mission and vision of Central Ohio YFC by executing quality events and marketing efforts to contribute to the financial goals and engage new people to learn about Central Ohio YFC. 

Key Objectives

• Manage all aspects of a chapter-wide donor/volunteer acquisition program and annual fund-raising event (STS/BTS).  
• Over the Edge planning and execution.  
• Help evaluate the expansion of OTE to Toledo and Cleveland in the next 2 years.
• Manage all aspects of the YGGM.  Think strategically how to activate growth & new leadership/ sponsorships.
• Execute crowd-funding and other fundraising events as needed.
• Run point on annual Partners Events (Experience the Story) 
• Builds and maintains relationships with event volunteers, rappelers, golfers and vendors.. 
• Manage event metrics, income and expenses
• Pursue continuing education in donor perfect and event management as it’s available and applicable.
• Implement process improvement for event systems
• Evaluate/execute/support mini-ministry events that would support volunteer recruitment and fund-raising with ministry staff and in collaboration with Marketing & Communications staff.

Specific Duties

• See the Story Team Oversight includes helping STS teams recruit & train team members; set team goals; host monthly tours; executing & tracking follow up and data tracking of guests/feedback; keep teams on track with encouragement, focus, and corrective input.  Also includes training & materials for table captains, Implement new Share the Story platform and help coach champions to host Share the Story Events.
• Be the Story Oversight includes managing all venue details; creation of annual video; recruit and train key speakers (emcee, live testimonies, ask person); execution of all event details.
• OTE: Planning & Execution of details for the 2 day event.  Communicate with OTE; owns rappeler & volunteer recruitment; secure all vendors & order all supplies for the event.
• YGGM Event Oversight includes managing all venue details; recruitment of golfers (in conjunction with JJM & committee); work with Admin to ensure all gifts/pledges transactions are properly handled.
• Partners Events: Schedule venues with intentionality to be in multiple communities.  Secure A/V needs for Executive Director and presenters. 
• Maintain Income & Expense records for all events to ensure good stewardship of donated funds & GIK.
• Participates in Development Training as available thru YFC USA, Mission Increase, and other sources.

Because the overriding religious purpose and mission of Youth for Christ USA is to communicate and introduce the Gospel of Jesus Christ to young people and their families, and in that regard to make, educate and encourage life-long disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, it is very important that you as an employee in the movement of Youth for Christ be recognized as an associate minister of the Gospel. As an employee of Youth for Christ and an associate minister of the Gospel, YFC expects all employees to:
