Position Summary

Goal: To advance the mission and collaborative vision of Central Ohio Youth for Christ, especially Equip Auto Sales, by providing day-to-day customer service, and improvement of the Equip Auto Used Car Lot

Key Objectives:

  • Increase used car sales revenue
  • Maintain cleanliness and professional appearance of the wheels lot and office
  • Ensure customer satisfaction
  • Fulfill administrative and spiritual staff responsibilities

Specific Duties:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:


Used Car Sales

  • Promotion of car features and benefits to prospective customers
  • Price negotiations
  • Completion of all sales paperwork as required by law
  • Propose potential financing options (future)
  • Maintain online sales inventory


Lot Sales Management

  • Work day-to-day with lot staff members
  • Organize and maintain professional appearance of lot inventory and offices
  • Assist with the processing of car donations as needed
  • Various other tasks from time to time as requested by the Director of Equip Auto Sales


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Obtain car sales license
  • Attend staff, and supervision meetings as required
  • Assist in ministry opportunities with teens
  • Support chapter-wide fundraising efforts by inviting guests to See the Story tours and the Be the Story annual events
  • Provide up-to-date data and reporting as needed to ensure successful business operations for Equip Auto Sales
  • Support COYFC staff training efforts by participating in All-Staff meetings, and ongoing training opportunities

Spiritual Responsibilities

Because the overriding religious purpose and mission of Youth for Christ USA is to communicate and introduce the Gospel of Jesus Christ to young people and their families, and in that regard to make, educate and encourage life-long disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, it is very important that you as an employee in the movement of Youth for Christ be recognized as an associate minister of the Gospel. As an employee of Youth for Christ and an associate minister of the Gospel, YFC expects all employees to:

  • Conduct financial transactions, customer service, and vendor relations in a way that honors God and maintains the integrity of the business

Position Requirements

Knowledge & Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Well versed in PC technology
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google products

Credentials Required & Preferred Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent car lot sales experience
  • Formal training in sales, marketing, and/or management is preferred
  • No restrictions for licensing to sell cars in Ohio
