Position Summary

Supervisor:  Equip Auto Sales Lot Manager

GOAL:  To advance the mission and collaborative vision of Central Ohio Youth for Christ, especially Equip Auto Sales, by providing high quality mechanic services that support Auto Lot sales.

KEY OBJECTIVES:

  • Provide high quality mechanic services
  • Fulfill staff administrative duties
  • Uphold staff spiritual responsibilities

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Provide Mechanic Services

  • Work with Lot Manager to assess inventory and create priority lists of cars to fix for the sales lot
  • Conduct repairs with accuracy, integrity, and promptness to ensure a steady pipeline of cars to the sales lot
  • Assist with customer interactions as needed or requested
  • Assist other mechanic staff at Equip Auto if needed or requested
  • Show up to work on time, and maintain a professional, clean work environment that promotes workplace safety 
  • Evaluate donated vehicles and determine repair capability.
  • Supervise and provide training assistance to Equip Auto mechanics as needed

Staff Administrative Duties

  • Meet regularly with Lot Manager and other Equip Auto staff for supervision and team meetings
  • Provide and maintain accurate documentation for both reporting and work completed on cars as requested by leadership staff
  • Obtain auto sales license if needed 
  • Assist in ministry opportunities with youth in Equip Skills Center programming
  • Support COYFC fundraising efforts by inviting a minimum of 4 new guests each year to either See the Story tours or Be the Story luncheon
  • Support COYFC staff training efforts by attending training opportunities

Spiritual Responsibilities:

Position Requirements

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Professional appearance for customer service
  • Ability to track and manage budget and sales
  • Ability to diagnose and repair a wide variety of vehicle problems across the spectrum of vehicle manufacturers.
  • Ability to train youth in the repair of vehicles
