Position Summary
Work alongside YFC in developing and implementing community outreach and connections through social media and the visual arts. Gain experience and training in fundraising, marketing, and communication in a nonprofit setting.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop internet media that shares the story of YFC in the community and connects with giving partners and students.
- Post and respond on YFC social media.
- Work alongside ministry staff in the areas of visual arts and social media to reach youth in the digital space.
- Perform routine website updates and share stories.
Spiritual Responsibilities
Because the overriding religious purpose and mission of Youth for Christ USA is to communicate and introduce the Gospel of Jesus Christ to young people and their families, and in that regard to make, educate and encourage life-long disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, it is very important that you as an employee in the movement of Youth for Christ be recognized as an associate minister of the Gospel. As an employee of Youth for Christ and an associate minister of the Gospel, YFC expects all employees to:
- Seek God’s guidance and wisdom, through prayer and meditation, for the organization as a whole as well as for specific ministry initiatives.
- Participate and lead regular times of prayer, devotion and worship as a regular aspect of your role within YFC.
- Teach and preach from the Holy Bible at YFC staff meetings, conferences, camps and events.
- Model empathy, humility and care for all people. This includes promoting equity and inclusion in word and in the practice of faith expression. YFC employees will have an opportunity to be commissioned or licensed as a minister of the Gospel through the established Youth for Christ process, and/or ordained by an outside body recognized by Youth for Christ USA.

Position Requirements
Knowledge & Skills
- This person must be looking for organizational experience in digital media and marketing.
- Assist in the creation of short videos for internet and social media use that shares the story of YFC.
- Must demonstrate basic proficiencies in digital media including but not limited to applications like Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, social media platforms, and G suite.
- Ability to create graphics and materials for print, web, and social media.
- Portions of this just will require the employee to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time.
- Work in a timely manner within agreed upon deadlines.
- Spiritual gifts suited to this position are creativity, serving, administration, evangelism, and writing.
General Staff Expectations
- Maintain a vital and growing relationship with Jesus Christ and demonstrate that relationship through a morally upstanding lifestyle that is in keeping with biblical principles (See YFC Living the Life of a Leader).
- Maintain good attendance with an agreed upon work schedule, communicating variations in advance.
- Attend staff meetings and retreats as required.
- Participate in organizational life, visiting ministry sites to capture media and helping all staff events unless excused by Community Engagement Coordinator.
- Demonstrate involvement in a local church through regular attendance, relationships with other members, and participation in ministry programs and events.
- Fully embrace the Youth For Christ mission and vision, and fully support the statement of faith (See Below).
Working Relationships
- Responsible directly to Community Engagement Coordinator
- Supervises social, web, and digital platforms
- Interacts directly with YFC Staff and indirectly with volunteers, donors, and students
Statement of Faith
- We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- We believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible authoritative Word of God.
- We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in his vicarious and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
- We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.

Fundraising Responsibilities
All YFC employees are expected to regularly and actively participate in faithful activities that advance the stewardship functions of YFC/USA. These activities will include—but are not limited to— extending invitations to fund raising events, recruiting personal circle of influence/YFC donor contacts, sending letters, handwritten notes, personal calls, and personally ministering to donor contacts.
