Making sure that the Drop-In Center (DIC) stays clean throughout the day and that the End-Of-Day cleaning list is completed by closing time. Checking dehumidifiers
Updating Sign-In sheet
Checking water coolers
Lining up daily snacks
Turning on game consoles, TV’s and computers
Having game sheets and other sign-out paperwork on the counter for the day
Making a list of needed supplies and reporting any problems to DIC Director
Game Room Monitor
Watch game room, looking for opportunities to teach kids about picking up garbage, keeping The Rock clean, putting things away, and being respectful to each other, the staff and property, as well as to teach about proper vs.

inappropriate language.  Greet and help adults as they come in, investigating any people who are older than the allowed age of those who can hang out, to be sure that they meet the criteria to be in the Drop In Center. Keep an eye on what is going on outside on the sidewalk, taking notice of concerns to neighbors’ store fronts.

Big Room Monitor
Keep an eye on what is going on in the room, only getting involved in activities that also allow you to be aware of what is happening in the room. Check with supervisor before leaving the room.
Counter
Check out games, taking care of locks and selling food and beverages.  Refill pop and food as needed.
Monitor phone use, making sure unauthorized people are not behind the counter.
Phone
Greet visitors, answer the phone, transfer calls or take messages, and monitor phone use. Get messages to staff in a timely way. Check staff in

and out.

Floor Staff
Roam around The Rock—talk with youth, play games with them, hang out, build relationships. Seek to spend time with the youth rather than with other staff; we are here to share Christ’s love with youth.
Sidewalk Monitor
Maintain order and safety on the sidewalk and keep an eye on the alley, taking notice of concerns to neighbors’ store fronts. Depending on the number of kids, be out with them or just inside the door.
We want to show God’s love to all the kids, so be thoughtful even when correcting behavior.
