Work with area youth who come in to the Drop-In Center, building relationships with them and seeking opportunities to share the Gospel. Oversee and assist with activities. |
Daily Responsibilities Can Include: Making sure that the Drop-In Center (DIC) stays clean throughout the day and that the End-Of-Day cleaning list is completed by closing time. Checking dehumidifiers Updating Sign-In sheet Checking water coolers Lining up daily snacks Turning on game consoles, TV’s and computers Having game sheets and other sign-out paperwork on the counter for the day Making a list of needed supplies and reporting any problems to DIC Director Game Room Monitor Watch game room, looking for opportunities to teach kids about picking up garbage, keeping The Rock clean, putting things away, and being respectful to each other, the staff and property, as well as to teach about proper vs. inappropriate language. Greet and help adults as they come in, investigating any people who are older than the allowed age of those who can hang out, to be sure that they meet the criteria to be in the Drop In Center. Keep an eye on what is going on outside on the sidewalk, taking notice of concerns to neighbors’ store fronts. Big Room Monitor and out. Floor Staff |
Edit Position Summary
All Youth For Christ regular full time employees will be given the opportunity to be involved in the Stewardship functions of South Central Minnesota Youth For Christ (hereafter SCMYFC, or YFC.) These opportunities could include fund raising events, circle of influence/YFC donor contacts, and other opportunities as provided. |
Because the overriding religious purpose and mission of SCMYFC is to communicate and introduce the Gospel of Jesus Christ to young people and their families, and in that regard to make, educate and encourage life-long disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, it is very important that you as an employee in the movement of YFC be recognized as an associate minister of the Gospel.
