Position Summary

This position exists in order to reach 11-19 year olds with the Gospel through Authentic Christ-sharing relationships by leading Youth for Christ Ministry in the local communities Spokane YFC is part of. Secondly, this position aims to aid ministry leaders in the development of young indigenous leaders, from within their ministry site, who are becoming mature followers of Christ and give back to their community. This will be accomplished through the development and empowerment of teams of leaders, sustainable financial development, and collaboration within the community. This role includes casting the Executive Director’s vision, implementing strategy, establishing fruitful and sustainable ministry while maintaining YFC USA’s policies for compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Administration: Manage the ministry site’s YFC Impact account for monthly and quarterly compliance with all volunteer leader information and ministry site(s) information and data in coordination with the volunteer coordinator and under the supervision of the Director of Ministry Operations. Responsible for the management of expenses per the annual ministry budget.
  • Recruitment: Recruit and Develop 5-7 YFC Leaders per quarter as a Direct Ministry team who in turn engage in Authentic Christ Sharing Relationships with lost young people within the respective communities. The recruitment and development of leaders will follow the strategy for City Life volunteer lifecycle under the supervision of the Director of Ministry Operations.
  • Holistic Ministry: Implement YFC Holistic Ministry by developing programs, meeting with kids, developing partnerships and equipping other leaders in order to meet the goals of YFC Spokane. The City Life Director will be the primary steward for the holistic ministry programs and subsequent goals held at Hillyard under the guidance of the City Life Certification Director and under the supervision of the Director of Ministry Operations.
  • Partner Development: Responsible for increasing the visibility of YFC in the community and engaging and developing partnerships with third-party stakeholders of the Spokane community on behalf of the ministry.

Events

Spokane YFC Events include, but are not limited to, Fun Run, Back to Schoo, an Annual Banquet, Golf Classic Tournament, and Year End Campaign

  • Aid in the mobilization of volunteers in the planning and execution of the Spokane YFC Events listed above
  • This position will receive tasks and responsibilities as needed in the planning and execution of the Spokane YFC Events

Knowledge & Skills

• Lead and coordinate multiple, overlapping projects using staff and/or contracted workers in a dynamic environment

• Ability to effectively interface with people from a wide range of social and socio-economic backgrounds, including high-capacity donors

• Entrepreneurial — enjoys creating and implementing new initiatives

• Ability to contribute to communication-related insight with Spokane YFC executive team and board members

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree & 3-5 Years Experience Preferred

On the Job Training: As Needed

Equipment & Software Utilized

Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, Zoom, Adobe Creative Suite, Impact, GivingFuel, RegFox, Google Suites and various other programs needed to effectively and efficiently complete the needed tasks.

Travel Requirements

Occasionally for trainings, YFC camp, and YFC trips.

Fundraising Responsibilities

While this position is not responsible for fundraising, all YFC employees are expected to regularly and actively participate in faithful activities that advance the stewardship functions of YFC USA. These activities will include—but are not limited to— extending invitations to fund raising events, recruiting personal circle of influence/YFC donor contacts, sending letters, handwritten notes, personal calls, and personally ministering to donor contacts.
