We are looking for an individual whose calling is in youth ministry, specifically with middle school students. The call is rooted in passion and desire to share the Gospel with EVERY middle school student. The individual will work to the best of their ability to fulfill the responsibilities of the roll. This ranges from, but not limited to, leading large groups, small groups, fundraising, developing intentional relationships, one on one appointments, being a champion of the local church, building community partners, event planning, and student leadership development. In a perfect world this individual would commit to this role for a minimum of three years. We recognize that commitment is based on God’s plans and not ours, but we value the investment and fruit that is experienced in a long-term commitment. This commitment isn’t accomplished alone. We have a strong team that is committed to co- laboring with one another. As a result, our team culture is supportive of each team members gifts and abilities. This position will elevate the gifts of the individual and provide a strong team culture.
Work with the Executive Director and ministry leadership team to have a dynamic master plan of reaching young people through campus ministry.
Develop and carry out the vision to reach every young person on middle school campuses within the assigned county on a weekly basis.
Adopts the “Five Essential Characteristics of Sustainable & Fruitful Ministry Sites” (Widespread Prayer, Loving Relationships, Faithful Bible Teaching, Collaborative Community Strategy, and Adults Who Empower)
Widespread Prayer - We deliberately engage lots of Christians to intercede on behalf of the ministry site. This value needs to strategically permeate all values, areas, and actions of your daily ministry.
Loving Relationships - We consistently pursue lost kids & engage them in life-long relationships with
Jesus. Campus Life uses six Relational Ministry Actions as its specialized skill set to move
Loving Relationships forward: Contacting, Building Times, Appointments, Small Groups, Core Teams, Club.
Faithful Bible Teaching - We accurately handle Biblical truth, regularly coaching kids to apply it in their lives. Competent Preparation. Relevant Presentation.
Collaborative Community Strategy - We intentionally work together with local churches, agencies, and other partners to provide sustainable youth and family ministry.
Adults Who Empower - We strategically develop leaders to reach young people from every people
group. Campus Life staff build and lead teams of Christian adults (and students) who are committed to investing in the relational ministry process with lost teens.
