Position Summary

The Administrator - Development, Marketing, and Communication coordinates and provides high-quality, holistic administrative support to the Department of Development, Marketing and Communication as a part of the Strategic Alignment Division.  

Essential Functions

Reports to Communication Lead

Internal Communications Support (50%)

1.) Support YFC Internal Communications through administrative engagement of:

2.) YFC Newsletters,

3.) CMS / Web updates,

4.) Knowledge Base maintenance,

5.) Other internal communication needs as assigned by the communication manager.

6.) Annual Calendar Maintenance

7.) Contribute to NSC and field facing tech-stack platforms

WordPress Website Community Support (30%) Serve as Chapter WordPress Community facilitator through:

1.) Customer service support for chapters web-building requests

2.) Sourcing and triaging requests to technical support (both YFC Helpdesk and Whiteboard support)

3.) Managing administrative support for onboarding, as well as hosting and support agreements.

4.) Manage Chapter WordPress Community communication channels.

Other Administrative Responsibilities (20%)

1.) Provide support to development / marketing operations as requested.

2.) Support tech-stack/ systems maintenance as needed

3.) Support projects or tasks as assigned

Position Requirements

Knowledge & Skills

  • Administrative/Executive Assistant experience required.
  • Work with confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner.
  • Must keep detailed records at all times and develop a highly efficient electronic and paper filing system.
  • Must be comfortable learning and utilizing YFC's Salesforce CRM technology on a daily basis.
  • Work on any special projects as requested with the ability to prioritize and reprioritize.
  • Relationally driven with natural ability to grow and maintain relationships with significant and influential individuals both internally and externally. 
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to problem solve, focus and analyze situations and data in the face of conflicting priorities and multiple demands while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy.
  • Ability to listen well, follow directions and work collaboratively with colleagues across many departments and ministries.
  • Self-initiated ability to analyze and improve on operations.
  • Must be comfortable with a high frequency of electronic communication.
  • Must have intermediate/advanced typing and computer skills including: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and general internet knowledge.
  • Knowledge and demonstrated skills in each of Youth for Christ’s Cultural Attributes (Christ-Centered, Kingdom Inspired Diversity, Joyful Camaraderie, Relentless Trust, Enduring Humility and Courageous Faithfulness).

Credentials Required & Preferred Education

  • Associates degree
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in an office environment

Fundraising Responsibilities

All YFC employees are expected to regularly and actively participate in faithful activities that advance the stewardship functions of YFC USA. These activities will include—but are not limited to— extending invitations to fund raising events, recruiting personal circle of influence/YFC donor contacts, sending letters, handwritten notes, personal calls, and personally ministering to donor contacts.
